School Dinners
Our school meals are made by Lancashire Catering Service. Mrs Pagram is our award-winning cook.
100% of LCC food suppliers are classed as local with 75% of the food is purchased in the UK. Their aim is to positively influence the diet of our children and young people, and always consider where the food we put on the plates comes from and how it is produced. Recently, the Lancashire Catering Service have been accredited the Sugar Wise accreditation with the Autumn/Winter Menu. The SUGARWISE catering mark gives assurance to parents and carers that the menu provides options that are low in free sugars. These are sugars and sugar-based sweeteners that need to be limited in the diet because they contribute to childhood obesity and tooth decay.
All Children in Acorn Class are entitled to a free meal under the Universal Free school meal scheme..
Also if you receive certain benefits, or have a household income below the Governments threshold, register your entitlement with Pupil Access on 01524 581112. Your child may be entitled to Free School Meals under the Pupil Premium entitlement (even if they are in the Infants)
If your child has a special dietary requirement, the kitchen is able to accommodate this. Please contact the school office to inform us of your child’s requirements and we will work with you to ensure their needs are met.
